Face to face KS3/4 GCSE English, Maths & Science Tutor – Worcester or Kidderminster Face to Face A-Level Tutors Maths, English, Sociology, History, Politics, Psychology, Physics - Worcester or Kidderminster This advert is for the Talent Pool, we are inviting people to join our Talent Pool so that as and when we receive information regarding the subjects, numbers and locations of the pupils we will be able to contact you and discuss the roles available with you. Job Purpose To provide one-to-one teaching to students, we are specifically looking for tutors with good subject knowledge in either Maths, Science or English, to teach students of GCSE level, and tutors with qualifications in Maths, Science, English, Sociology, History, Politics, Psychology to teach A-Level Students. Location Face-to-face tutor in our Wise Owl Tutors centre in Kidderminster, or our Worcester Location Hours and work schedule This will be determined in September or October as and when we receive information regarding who will be attending About Us Working at WLZ, you will be a part of our amazing team of tutors and help us to continue our teams brilliant track record of providing high quality education to each and every student regardless of their personal circumstances or abilities. Renumeration and benefits Tutors are paid a standard rate of £17.61 per hour of 1:1 tuition delivered for all levels. An additional £5 per hour will be paid to tutors for each additional student that attends a session, up to a maximum of 4 additional students (additional £20 per hour) this reflects the additional work involved in planning for additional students. Responsibilites
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students in various subjects, focusing on their individual learning needs.
- Create engaging lesson plans and educational materials tailored to each student's academic goals.
- Utilise effective communication skills to explain complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Adapt teaching strategies for students with special education needs, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
- Track student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with other educators and professionals to support student development and success.
Requirements
- · Flexible and willing to pivot to meet students’ needs on a given day.
- · Knowledgeable about the curriculum for their given age range.
- · Accommodating of individual needs such as autism, ADHD, and anxiety.
- · Confident planning lessons and assessing their own students.
- · Imaginative and creative thinkers who can make lessons come to life.
- · Holds all students with respect and in positive regard.
- · Excellent subject knowledge e.g. degree (or working towards a degree) in your tuition subject
- · Good interpersonal skills e.g. listening, teamwork, negotiation.
- · Excellent standard of written and spoken English.
- · Ability to respond flexibly to changing priorities.
- · Experience of the UK school system
- · Previous successful experience of working in a school, college or other child focussed environment e.g. children’s home.
- · Ideally Qualified teacher status or equivalent
- · Teaching or Tutoring experience
- · Understanding of safeguarding issues.
- · Good knowledge of the relevant curriculums
Rate of pay
£17.61 per hour
